In this class we explored the fundamentals of physical theater, with group theater games, improvisational exercises, scenes and skit performance! Our young actors put together a show for their loved ones that showcased their comedic skills, exemplary storytelling and joy for making people laugh!


Art Colony Presents: Music Video with Emily Collins

Working in the style of a true music video production team, we worked directly with a band (Faren and the French Fries) and created a poptastic video. Using stop-motion animation as our medium, we made animated representations of the song and the musicians and even had the opportunity to do some live shooting with the band’s front woman, Faren. Please feel free to dance while watching the final product!


Art Colony Presents: Robotics with Nina Alexander

Ever wondered what makes a robot tick? Our robotics class got to the bottom of this 21st century question by exploring the potential of mechanics. By creating robots using crank shafts, gears, stop motion and puppetry techniques, our robots came to life. Check out these photos of our fabulous mechanical menagerie!

Art Colony Presents: Ceramics as Installation with Mandy Talbot

The class Ceramics as Installation explored a variety of advanced techniques in this one week class! The students began with hand building techniques and progressed to mold making. Their skills and efforts were combined at the end of the week into the group’s shipwreck installation!
