CMA at The Harbor School

05.12.10

This spring CMA and the Harbor School have partnered in an exciting mural making project. CMA’s Teaching Artist, Yashua Klos, has been facilitating weekly Friday afternoon workshops with a group of Harbor School Freshman, Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors. Inspired by their experiences at the Harbor School, the mural will illustrate the school’s unique culture and its current Bushwick neighborhood. The completed mural, painted on 6 panels covering 25ft wide and 10 ft tall, will be unveiled in the school’s new space on Governor’s Island in fall of 2010. It will serve as an ongoing reminder to future generations of the school’s origins in Brooklyn.

Check out these pictures to track the murals progress!
