The WPA Murals Art Colony had a task to complete the second half of a seven panel mural with the theme “New York of the future”. We have a girl in a bubble delivering newspapers, a groovy freedom tower building, a garden under the Brooklyn Bridge, two statue’s of Liberty, a Phoenix rising in our sky, a happy skating hamster, and more in a colorful jumble of a city we call New York! The children worked hard and enjoyed the much frolicking in the greenery of Governor’s Island. The mural will be displayed for the public in Slip 6 of the Battery Maritime Building.
